Isaac ABISSI was born on April 4, 1979 in Dassa-Zoumé in the Collines Department in central Bénin. After completing his secondary education in literature, he pursued higher studies at Abomey-Calavi University, where he earned a Master's degree in Modern Literature in 2009.

As a teacher and literature professor in Bénin's secondary schools, his passion for culture and especially his country's cultural and tourism heritage led him early on to pursue a career in tourism.

After several trips to Bénin and throughout the African region, Isaac ABISSI founded the tourism agency Voyage Modeste. For many years, he worked tirelessly to build an efficient and reliable operation to showcase Bénin and its tourism potential to travelers eager to visit the country. Voyage Modeste has made it its mission to promote the cultural and tourism values of the land of Béhanzin, kaba and Bio Guerra.

From then on, Voyage Modeste became a partner of France Voyage Coopération, and Isaac ABISSI signed several collaboration agreements with agencies across Europe.

In 2017, leveraging his experience and deep knowledge of Bénin, Isaac ABISSI joined the Nomadays collective, a network of travel agencies working together to offer tailor-made journeys around the world.

The partnership with Nomadays enabled this dedicated professional to quickly bring Bénin into the spotlight and present its tourism assets to the rest of the world. He shares the country's cultural and tourism heritage with passion to all his guests.

In 2019, Isaac ABISSI, founder of Voyage Modeste, successfully participated in the Grand Bivouac Festival in Albertville in France, alongside the Nomadays collective. It was a golden opportunity to highlight the tourism wonders of Bénin and Togo. The goal was to bring visibility to what remains authentic in these two countries whose populations coexist, resemble one another, and often share the same culture and traditions.

After several journeys across West Africa, Isaac ABISSI transformed Voyage Modeste into a major regional group with offices in Burkina Faso, Senegal, Togo, and Côte d'Ivoire.

Isaac ABISSI, the man of letters turned tourism promoter, has already welcomed to Bénin visitors from France, Belgium, Czechia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Russia, and the United States…
