West Africa's vast wilderness, Fazao-Malfakassa National Park unfolds 192,000 hectares of bush and mountains. A confidential safari to discover between December and April.

Fazao-Malfakassa National Park is Togo's largest (the other parks being Kéran and Fosse aux Lions).

It sits between the Kara region and the central region in semi-mountainous wetlands and forms part of the border with Ghana. It spans 192,000 hectares. As a sanctuary for wildlife and vegetation, the park is home to buffalo, elephants, antelope, warthogs, and more. It's also an ideal refuge for migratory birds, primates, reptiles and countless other animal species.

When is the best time to visit the park?

The best time to visit the park is from December to April, the dry season. During this period, the tracks are passable and animals are easily spotted. You'll need a 4x4 vehicle or Jeep to organize a safari and make the most of this region's potential.
